Prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in the construction industry

The construction industry is undergoing a rapid transformation thanks to advances in artificial intelligence. With growing demands for efficiency, safety and sustainability, AI is becoming a key tool in shaping the future of construction. The use of AI in the industry is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, bringing significant benefits to both companies and customers.

One of the tools gaining popularity in construction is BIM- Building Information Modeling. This software improves the construction process at many stages, including design and schedule optimization. Artificial intelligence, thanks to the analysis of trends and data entered into it from previous projects, is able to provide accurate and realistic forecasts.  By comparing projects and visualizing current expenses, it can make adjustments to projects instantaneously. More and more companies that produce software to accelerate construction processes are investing in implementing AI algorithms to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their products. The argument for greater use of artificial intelligence is the fact that it can quickly spot patterns in very large data sets, thus saving time already at the construction planning stage.

In terms of schedule optimization, AI can take into account the entirety of a huge amount of data, which shortens the planning time for construction works. By learning the data from  previous projects, artificial intelligence shows creativity and looks for solutions to problems, and can also predict the difficulties that may arise during construction works. The more schedules artificial intelligence provides, the more accurately and better it creates the next ones, learning more and more about possible accidents and incidents.

Planning and optimizing schedules is just one area in the construction industry where AI can tangibly accelerate and improve the process. The ongoing progress in the development of AI algorithms is further increasing its application in other areas, including the construction industry, and as time goes on, more and more companies will reach for AI-powered solutions.
