An extensive analysis was undertaken for an entity in the chemical industry to explore the possibilities of proceeding with a change of classification of a certain element as a surface water body and possibilities of mixing different waste water streams, which required an in-depth review of the provisions of the Water Law Act. This also required an analysis of the amendments to that law following from the enactment of a new piece of legislation in early 2018 and tracing the actions of the government administration in respect of specific water master plan and preparing a classification of surface water bodies. The analysis factored in the circumstances of the transformation efforts in water and waste water management, in particular industrial effluents, undertaken at the site.
