Postponed digitalisation of below EU threshold public procurement

On 4 July 2019, the Sejm passed a bill to amend the Act of 22 June 2016 amending the Public Procurement Law Act and certain other acts. Currently, the obligation to digitalise procurement applies to procedures where the contract value is estimated above the EU thresholds.

What will change?

The obligation to fully digitalise procurement will be put off in time from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021. This refers to public contract award procedures conducted by contracting authorities other than the central contracting authority where the contract value is estimated below the EU thresholds.

Next, the act passed will go to the Senate for review. Find out more on the Public Procurement Office’s website here
