Advocate, president of the Polish Federation of Construction Industry Employers, vice-president of the Polish Construction Industry Exporters’ Cluster, vice-president of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Federation. Permanent member of the Monitoring Committee of the FENIKS Programme, by designation of the Minister for Funds and Regional Policy.
Jan specialises in the construction market and the investment process, in particular in public works concession projects, Public-Private Partnerships, FIDIC contracts, tendering procedures and construction market regulations. He has led and advised on dozens of large investment projects, largely in the PPP model in sectors such as motorways, roads, car parks, waste management and incinerators, student dormitories, social housing. He has also advised on standard public procurement, in projects such as the construction of the second metro line in Warsaw, the modernisation of the Film Art Centre in Wrocław or the realisation of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście.
Author of numerous articles, commentaries and opinions on the situation and challenges of the Polish construction and investment market, panellist and speaker at major industry congresses and conferences.
Member of the Expert Council for Roads at the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland, member of the expert team of the Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Poland for the development of PPP policy and legislative changes in this area. In 2019 appointed by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology to the Public Procurement Council at the Public Procurement Office, member of the Tripartite Team for Construction and Economy at the Ministry of Development, Labour and Technology, member of the Entrepreneurs’ Council at the SME Ombudsman.
Founder and Chairman of the Board of the ASEMEA Association, supporting the development of business relations of the Polish market with entrepreneurs from Asia, the Middle East and Africa, member of the Bar Association in Warsaw.
