Łukasz Kotarba

Łukasz specializes in providing legal advice in the context of infrastructural and construction projects, with a particular focus on contract performance in the public and commercial sectors and on the settlement of related disputes.
He represents the Firm’s Clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings held before courts of all instances throughout Poland, primarily district and appellate courts. He can boast over 15 years of extensive trial experience.
Trial bound and bound to trial. Already during his studies, he represented his family’s construction company, winning several cases before district and appellate courts while also completing his pupillage.
His courtroom experience has taught him the value of perseverance, determination, persistence, thorough groundwork for every hearing, and readiness for everything. Knowing his cases inside out, he can foresee moves of the court and of his opponents and anticipate their impact in a wider legal context.
In his approach to case work, Łukasz strives to balance out the human and the business aspect of every matter – after all, what matters most in each case are the participants and the businesses they own or manage. Acutely aware of the vastness and intricate nature of the law, he always seeks the most practical approach available, trying to chart a logical path across the complex legalities and mitigating dire formalism wherever possible.
He also provides ongoing, day-to-day legal advice, expertly navigating the many varied branches of the law. He has experience in handling cases related to energy law and industrial property law, in performing real
estate and corporate due diligence audits, as well as in providing legal services to a large production company in all areas of its business.
He never shies away from a challenge and is ready to pursue every aspect of a comprehensive legal practice. In short, he will revise a contract, appear in court, draft a legal opinion, provide advice, draw up a submission, file a motion, reply to a subpoena, manage a contract (including a FIDIC contract), etc. – whatever the Client needs, and he never cuts corners.
Łukasz has been a member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw since 2010 and an attorney-at-law since 2013. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and the postgraduate program in public procurement at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
